i have been so excited about doing this project, i went to the charity shop and got some tea cups and a teapot, i knew i was going to spray paint is so i wasnt botherd about the pattern on the cups. but if you are lucky and find some cups with nice patterns you can leave it not painted for a vintage look.
you need to drill holes through the centre of each cup, saucer and teapot. to do this you need a diamond drill but ideally, but instead as we didnt have one my brother sharpened a masionary/tile bit and we used that.
put tape over the center before drilling this stops it moveing around. be sure to put the plate/cup on to a piece of wood as the drill needs to go all the way through and you dont want it to ruin anything
next you need the cable for the lamp i used one from an old lamp, and removed the plug then threaded it through each hole.
then i used strong superglue to stick each piece together so it was strong. then spray painted it white.
for the shade i used the frame of a shade with the fabric removed and cut lots of strips of fabric and tied them on from the bottom to the middle and then from the middle to the top.
make sure to tie the knots tight .
and thats all i did.
